Planning your next adventure on water can be overwhelming. There’s so much to consider! Where should you go? What type of boat should you rent or buy? How do you prepare for your trip? We’ll help you answer these questions by giving you some tips on choosing a destination, deciding what kind of boat will work best for you, and preparing for your trip.
Pack Lightly
You’ll need to bring some gear with you on your kayaking trip. Here’s what you should pack:
1. Wetsuit – This is not mandatory, but it can save you from getting wet. This is advisable especially when temperatures are low.
2. Life Jacket or a buoyancy enhancer – Wear a life jacket at all times when you’re on the water. Even if you’re not going far, wearing one can save your life if you fall into the water.
3. Sunscreen – Make sure you apply sunscreen before you head out on the water.
4. Dry bag – All your personal documents and electronic devices – if not protected – are likely to be damaged by water or moisture.
5. Dress for cold in multiple layers – it provides better thermal insulation and flexibility. If necessary you can remove layers if the temperature rises.
6. Comfortable, abrasion resistant, not absorbing clothing.
7. Airtight water container – it is difficult to find drinking water during a tour on the water.
Find a Guide.
If you’re new to kayaking, we recommend hiring a guide who has experience with kayaks and paddling. A guide can help you plan your trip, teach you how to paddle, and provide safety instructions. Guides also offer advice on where to go and what to see. They can even take you out on the water when you’re ready to try it out yourself.
Well…is up to you. One can make a couple hours, others may go up to a week tour. You should just plan in advance accordingly and let us know.
It is safe as long as you fallow guide’s recommendations and wear safety gear. Anyway, based on every person’s abilities, training, weight and height we have dedicated kayaks, paddle boards and canoes.
We have kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. For kayaks, it ranges from recreational to sea kayaks, as follow:
Enduro – one seat, for beginners, stable, easy to maneuver and very fast, this kayak is recommended for those who are preparing for a longer trip in a kayak or for those who want to improve their physical condition.
Edge – one seat, for beginners; long-distance kayak, very maneuverable, particularly fast, designed to cover long distances with as little effort as possible. The two sealed storage spaces at the bow and stern of the kayak ensure sufficient space for the transport of the camping equipment needed for a trip of several days.
Brittany – one seat for next level beginners, is one of the fastest polyethylene sea kayaks; very comfortable kayak and very easy to handle in the most diverse conditions, from the calm water of the lakes to the Delta and the open sea. Recommended for long laps, Brittany can quickly cover considerable distances.
Polarity – one seat kayak, intermediate level, designed for long laps; tandem kayak that reacts excellently in extreme conditions of wind and waves
Baffin P1 – one seat sea kayak for intermediate-expert level; could be that kayak that is completely useful for everything – tour, expedition, play or surf.
Baffin P2 – one seat sea kayak for intermediate-expert level; the kayak is extremely resistant and successfully copes with moorings on rocky beaches, but also plays in rock gardens.
Inukshuk – one seat sea kayak for expert level; very stable, comfortable, fast and spacious, easy to handle, with a low profile, which opposes minimal resistance in the wind. Large loading capacity makes it ideal for long trips and expeditions.
